I have tingling and burning in both my legs, sometimes so bad I can hardly walk. I went to the doctor and she felt it was weight related, granted I need to loose about 25 pounds but this has been going on longer than I needed to loose the weight. she put me on anti-inflammatory meds and those do not seem to be helping. Also I just got blood work back and my cholesterol was high. Does anyone have theyse symptoms and know what to do, I will go back to doctor and ask her about other things it could be. I just need to know what to ask

  • Hi I have a few questions for you...do you only get the tingling and burning in your legs when walking or exercising? is it only in the calves? how long has this been going on? I have a condition called popliteal artery entrapment syndrome and experienced tingling, burning, and cramping in my legs when walking...could be a possibility. Hope you have found out what the problem is by now.

  • I have had the same symptoms for the past 5 years. I had doppler done and my veins were normal. I even had some unexplainable panniculitis, my last doctor said to see a psychologist, great!

  • I have had the same symptoms for the past 5 years. I had doppler done and my veins were normal. I even had some unexplainable panniculitis, my last doctor said to see a psychologist, great! I have had the same symptoms as above for 7 years and was finally diagnosed with popliteal artery entrapment syndrome. For years doctors told me to stretch before walking or that I had shin splints (which I knew wasn't the case since I have had them before). After much arguing with my family doctor, this year I was sent to a vascular specialist. I had a ABI (ankle/brachial index) and a CT scan that both came back normal. However, when they did an ultrasound and artierogram, they had me flex and point my toes during the procedures, and found that the bloodflow from my knee down was being cut off. Not saying that this is what is going on with you but it could be a possibility. This condition is not common so is often misdiagnosed. You can look at the message board on here under vascular conditions called popliteal entrapment syndrome and see if any of the symptoms apply to you. Good luck. I hope you find out what it is. Bren

  • I have tingling/burning throughout my entire body. Comes in certain parts and at varying degrees. Doctor has no idea what it is except my nerves. Needless to say I am under tremendous stress and these symptoms are making me more stressed.
