I am 29 years old
I have popliteal entrapment syndrome in my both legs
I have not gone to the surgery yet
One of my doctor said that you have enough collateral so you can wait for operation other doctor said that you should be operated as soon as possible
I have minimal symtoms
Is there any person who have not gone to operation? How many times shoul I wait for the operation. I was confused.
please tell me your experience

  • I had the surgery on both legs and it did not help. I was tested after both surgeries and the tests came back positive. I just live with constant pain in my both of my calves. The doctors told me that they had nothing else to offer. However, they did not express concern that I was going to have significant problems because of the failed surgery. This is probably not the help you were looking for but I don't believe there is a straight answer. I would suggest getting another opinion or possibly make an appointment at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota and getting checked out. The more opinions the better since doctor's opinions vary so much. If you get consensus with a few doctors then you should feel confident with your decision.
