Pain in upper right thigh near groin, whether I am either standing up, sitting down, and walking

I am a 52 yr old woman...Have been having pain in the right thigh near groin. Feel pain whether I am standing, or sitting down. When i make the attempt to walk, i end up walking with a limp..Did some walking yesterday and I was in tears the pain started from my thigh down to my leg..I have tried taking motrin, alleve, Tylenol and nothing seems to work..
