Numbness is foot

I am 29 years old, last year I had a deteriorating disk, which I had the epidural shots and it didn't help. Six months ago I landed myself in the ER because I couldn't breathe at all, without having massive pain. They sent me to get a PE test, which came back negative and diagnosed me with Pluerisy. Now for about a week I have had complete numbness in my left heel of my foot. It hurts to walk, and keeps me awake at night, but more because of the numbing discomfort rather than the pain. I have seen 3 Doctors and nobody can tell me 1# if all of these symptoms are related #2 what caused the lung issues and breathing problems and #3 how can I treat the disc issue without surgery? Has anyone experienced any of these symptoms, and if so is there a treatment? Thanks
