My father has really bad right leg pain as he wakes up from a deep sleep (not moving much). His doctor's diagnosis is that his coccyx disc is worn very thin and needs surgery, but he also said there is a chance the surgery may go bad and he will never walk again. I have no idea how accurate that statement is, but I was wondering if there are any remedies that can deal with the problem (other than painkillers), and hopefully curing this problem for him? My dad sleeps on his right side quite often, the pain goes away after some light exercise in bed, then he can walk normally again. If not, he limps.
I appreciate any input!!
