A little over 2 months ago, I was in the yard with my dog who weighs approximately 60 pounds. She was on a tie-out lead which is like a thick wire. she bolted and I happened to be in her way and couldn't move fast enough. the lead caught my leg about 5 inches above the ankle. I didn't fall down but felt immediate pain and had some swelling in the area. It made a "dent" in my leg. I don't know how else to describe it. it is about 3 inches across the leg and still, after 2 months, is extremely tender to touch. it is not red or inflamed. I can stand on the leg and walk normally without pain. Can someone tell me what kind of injury this might be and should I see some kind of specialist for it?
