15 weeks post mid tibia injury, still on crutches without a diagnosis

I am 19. 15 weeks ago I ran a half marathon and was unable to walk afterwards. I did all the training the marathon site suggested building up to the event and more.

The day after the halfie I went to the doctor and was told I probably have shin splints, gave me crutches for a couple of days and told me to rest it.

Over the last 15 weeks I have had an xray, bone scan and most recently an mri which showed up nothing and I was told that my leg was effectively normal.

I have anterior mid tibia pain which gets worse during the day and is tender to touch. All the muscle are fine and I can do all the movements which makes me think its the bone. I have to ice it often as only that and painkillers take away the pain, even 15 weeks post injury.

I am still on crutches and can hobble around but cant leave the house without the crutches.

I have been told that there is no diagnosis and to start doing activity on it such as biking. The orthapaedic surgeon basically told me that there is nothing wrong so there is nothing to do.

Please help me! I am completely distraught that I am in this pain yet everything seems fine. Its hard to know what to do without a diagnosis and I am very over using the crutches. :(
