Swelling and Meniscal Tear

There's edema (swelling) behind the patella and a small medial meniscal tear. It's been 5 1/2 weeks since I first injured my knee, and while it's better, it's not that much better...So last week, the sports doctor ordered an MRI. I had the appointment to get the results today and...

Not good.

The two are completely unrelated, but can both cause me pain. I have to keep going to PT, walk on it, and go back in 3 weeks. Depending on how it is then, I may or may not get a surgical referral, and depending on all the factors, may or may not have surgery this summer.

I'm glad that there's now a concrete answer to what's wrong (before the dr just said it was a hamstring strain, and I didn't believe that), but the diagnosis is worse
