I was in a horse accident 4 weeks ago, my knee has been very painful and swollen since. I had it drained 5 days ago but the swelling has returned. What may be causing this?
thanks in advance

  • Its called Prepatellar Bursitis. I to had my knee drained almost a year ago and still today suffer with pain and swelling. It has been recommended I have surgery to remove the bursa because its harden and that is what is causing the pain. My question is whether or not this is life lasting? My case is a Personal injury case. and I do not want to live with this the rest of my life due to someone elses negligence. Good luck with your knee. Go back to your doctor, rest it when it hurts and use lots of ice!
