I recently had a ct scan for my knee , all the doctor said was rest, but I wanna know what's the problem, im having extreme pain even after a months rest my ct scan report says , there was a subarticular sclerosis and minimal depression of the medial tibial plateau, mild traumatic compression changes of the medial tibial plateau with a small joint effusion. Can someone please explain what this means and what can be done for it! Much appreciated thanks.

  • I'd recommend seeing a physiotherapist for an assessment, explanation of your MRI findings and appropriate treatment. If you still don't improve with physiotherapy, a review with a specialist may be indicated. Exercises to improve your knee flexibility and strength are often important, but should be discussed with a physiotherapist prior to commencing, see:Knee StretchesKnee Strengthening ExercisesBest of luck,PhysioAdvisorwww.PhysioAdvisor.com
