Omg, i had many knee problems when i was younger as my doctor said was probably growing pains, but today and a few days before, i was walking down the hall of my high school with my best friend, and i got this extremely sharp pain in my knee, it felt as if some1 was stabbing me under the knee cap over and over again. I couldnt even walk, my friend had to be my crutch, and when we got to the stairs, omg, everytime i bent my knee, i thought it was about to explode! It was fine after on the walk home, then it started up again, i leaned against a tree and waited, then the pain went away. plz help me, i dont know wat to do!!!

  • Hi. I have exactly the same symptoms as the original post: excruciating sharp pain just outside to the left of my left knee cap that lasts about 10-15 seconds. It happens randomly, without a trigger, and occurs while sitting, lying down, standing walking, sleeping, etc. without warning (just as in the original post). Has anyone had any luck figuring out the cause? I've seen a couple people mention piriformus syndrome and they say they had some luck treating that. My orthopedist diagnosed me with a torn meniscus and an impinging synovium. I had surgery to correct those, but these symptoms persist. Can anyone help?
