Basically im looking for some advice on some knee problems I am having. Around January of this year I started having some pain in my right knee. It wasn't severe pain, more of a mild discomfort, the best way I could describe it would be to say the knee felt twisted (more to the outside of the knee).
I struggled on thinking it would pass, I treated with pain killers and ice. That did help for a while but the pain did mostly persist. I went to see my doctor who prescribed so some anti-inflammatory pills. They made no difference. I returned to the doctor and he gave me more of the same but stronger ones. I was actually given Naproxen 500mg and Omeprazol 20mg. These worked great for about a week. I literally felt like I had a new knee.
Once again pain returned but a different pain now. The pain now is just below my knee cap.
When I was in school, I think I was 14-15 I was told I had Osgood-Schlatter Disease. Today I still have a lump, not that noticeable to the eye but I can feel it sticking out. I guess this is a very likely cause to the new pain.
I had an x ray of the knee about 6 weeks ago and apparently it didn't show any bone or joint problems. I guess it could have been overlooked as it wasn't the source of the pain when I had the x ray taken.
Pain is worst when I lift my leg from the ground, taking my weight off the knee. It feels like something is expanding between the joint and when compressed the pain is somewhat relieved.
Thanks for any advice,
