Hello, im an 18 year old male who has been playing rugby all my life.
about a year ago i played just another game and sat down for a good hour or so afterwards, my left knee had swollen up and i could barely walk, i did not injure it at all in the game. i played another 20+ games with roughly the same problem afterwards it would always slightly swell up and hurt to walk on. now bending my left knee is really painful and when i goto straighten it i can barely walk on it for a few seconds. the pain is on the inner side of my left knee, i did hurt the same knee 3 years back but it was nothing major and havent had any problem til a year ago. it hurts to bend it, sitting down for long periods of time and extending it out far although i can run on it fine with almost no pain at all. i havent played sports for a few months now and its still playing up. im just wondering if its worth getting an xray or what i can do to help it?
