For around 3 months I have been unable to pull my leg back without experiancing cramp behind my knee as it passes 90' degrees. My knee also cramps up if i am on my feet for a long time, or sitting or lying for a long time. I have the sensation of a tight hamstring regularly, and the top of my calf is very tender to touch.

My injury came on over a couple of days, I am a regular rock climber and footballer. Sadly I have not been able to do any sport or anything similar since the injury came on, and a physio has been unable to help.

I am waiting for the NHS to send me a specialist but the waiting lists are horrendous. Anyone with any advice? I thought a meniscus tear seemed the most likely, although my symptoms dont seem to perfectly match what i see online.
