I was playing football yesterday and i took the ball past a player. My left foot was angled outwards as i was running past him. But their player ran into me while my leg was the other way. I was on the floor but in more pain as he had headbutted me and i had a bleeding nose. I didnt notice any pain in my knee till i tried standing up. I couldnt carry on and had to be lifted off. I thought it was just an impact injury at first so was just still at the side of the pitch with an icepack watching the rest of the game. When it came to standing up I literally could put no weight on my left leg. When i went home i did the usual elevation, compression and icepack stuff. when climbing into bed i was getting sharp pains in the knee when it was touched and even when i tried shuffling about to get comfy. I woke up today and its swollen like a peach. I was told you can sort of guess if its broken by looking at your other leg. On my right knee the joint doesnt move from left to rgiht but on the left leg i can actually move it left or rgiht. Could it be a broken knee cap? Or am i just being a wuss?

  • I'd advise you to make radiography of your joint and to visit your doctor! and, as soon as possible!!
