Hi there.

I have a problem with my right knee (although my left could also be effected) when I cross my legs for any period of time and straighten them back out again i am comfronted with a sharp pain. This pain is only noticable when i try 2 move my knee and completely goes away with a *click* when i manage to straighten it. This only occurs after my legs have been crossed and was wondering if it was common for young men (roughly 18 yrs old) to have this condition and what could be done to treat it.

  • I've had the same thing happen to me 3 times. The last time my knee was sore for days afterwards so I went in, got an MRI and today was diagnosed with a Miniscus tear on both sides of my right knee. The pain was only on the outside and it "popped". The Dr. said when there is a tear in the Meniscus, it slips out of the joint. Maybe you need to get an MRI to determine what is going on with your knee. It sounds so similar to my problem. Good luck. Diane
