can all kidney diseases and disorders be detected by a urine test? ive been having frequent kidney pain and was given only a urine test, is that sufficient?

  • No! Blood tests should be done as well. A urinanalysis may be performed to look for infection, but if you suspect kidney disease, blood tests and possibly ultrasounds/cat scans can tell you for sure. If you think you're doctor is not doing enough or not listening to go to a new one! I know from experience that if you're not happy with your health care provider you health will suffer!
