Hello all! My name is Annette and I am 28 years old. About a week ago I started to have severe lower back pain on my right side.. It's accompanied with dizziness. The only relief I get from it is laying down. I went to see an urgent care doctor yesterday and he took a urine sample to test it. He back in the room minutes later and said that I have an Upper UTI.
Back about 6 months ago I was in the hospital due to chronic diarrhea. When they did a cat scan they found a cyst on my kidney and my liver was enlarged. My sedimentation rate as also elevated. Now I am suffering with this pain in my lower back on the right side.. I dont have the common symptoms of an Upper UTI. No burning when I urinate, no abdominal pain or discomfort, no frequent urges to urinate either.
My question is: Could this be a Kidney infection? They prescribed me Cipro and Tramadol for the pain (Which isn't doing anything for me). The pain is continuous and doest let me sleep comfortably.. What should I do?? I have only been on the medication for 2 days.
