hi,

i'm a 29 yr old male who for the past week and a half has had a recurring pain in the in my right lower back.
the pain was a mild soreness at first but has since gotten very bad. the pain comes and goes when it pleases but mostly occurs in the afternoons. when the pain is at it worst, i begin to feel nauseous and week. also when the pain occurs i feel the need to urinate with sometimes not much coming out.

I've see the doctor, who thought it was a urinary infection. he put me on antibiotics and sent my sample away for testing. the test came back negative.

On saturday night the pain & nausea was so intense that i went to the hospital. again they tested my urine for uti and stones.. both came back negative.

I'm booked to go for a ct scan next week. but i'm a bit worried it could be something serious.

Now the sharp pains are back so i went straight for a urine/blood test and then a ct scan but they found nothing.. which makes me scared because now i think its something else. If your lucky itll be a stone and youll just have to go through pain (horrible i might ad) but ive read about some other kidney problems that sound alot worse. Im not a doctor but my only advice is to NOT drink juices and only water. You cant go wrong with water and if i my sides start hurting after drinking a soda (even just a 1/2 can) then a bunch of water temporarily takes it away. Im starting to think there may be a condition where the kidneys need water constantly or they 'dry' or something because they always hurt after a long sleep without liquids. But when i wake up and drink water it feels better. Anyone else have an idea of what this is?
