Swollen? Kidney

I'm hoping someone can help me....
In June I was diagnosed with a kidney infection and a kidney stone. It was the first time I'd been diagnosed with either, though I've ignored bloody urine in the past. I couldn't ignore it this time because, as anyone who's had a very painful kidney stone knows, it's not ignorable! Anyway, I went to the doctor and he put me on meds, which helped me get through the pain of the stone, but did nothing for the infection. My infection was caused by a form of strep (sp?) so I had to get other meds. The bloody urine went away, but I continue to have problems with what I can only guess is swollen kidneys. They don't hurt but they are uncomfortable, like they're too swollen and are pushing the things near them out of place. It's particularly bothersome when I'm sitting. So much that I've had to leave work because I just couldn't sit. I don't have any other symptoms persay. I've been very tired but I think that comes from working full time and going to grad school.

Any suggestions of what this might be would be helpful. I learned the hard way not to ignore kidney problems.
