Purposeful Rejection

my 47 yr old husband is giving up. Due to high cost of his medications he has decided to no longer take anything. I gave him a kidney in 2004 due to his being in failure.
Aside from whatever I am feeling emotionally or what he is feeling (he does go to counseling), what is going to happen. What should I expect? We have three children. I'm a mess but he is adamant this is what he wants? Will he die? I have no idea what to do. He said he has thought about this for a very long time and is done fighting for his life....
