I have a history of uti's, I've gotten them repeatedly since I was little. For the past few months I've noticed that my urine has a horrible odor to it, I've been going more frequently, and I sometimes get the feeling that I have to go 24/7, even when there's nothing in my bladder.
About a year and a half ago I went to a specialist. He went up into my bladder with a cathider (sp?) and said my bladder was pretty damaged. I was put on some medicine for a year to help my bladder recover. It's been well over a year and nothing has changed.
I went to the doctor today to get my urine checked out and they found bacteria and some protein in it. They suggested I go back to the specialist and get checked out again.
I've been reading about protein in urine and now I'm kind of concerned. Does this sound like kidney disease or something to that extent?
