The frequent urination and pain in the kidneys is another sign. If he would go to his physician, they could do a simple urine test to see what's going on...he should go soon.

  • To a doctor (urologist) soon please - never risk kidneys.First thing every morning he should take a urinary alkalinizer. It works! We get a good one over here called Citro-Soda, containing sodium bicarbonate, tartaric acid, citric acid and sodium citrate. It's safe over the long term. Only beware, taking more than indicated can make one feel awful. He should never eat hot spices, especially curry is a problem. And he should drink much more fluids. High quality light beer is very good for kidneys - from Germany or the Czech Republic - even from Belgium.

  • Why would you think frequent urination is psychological? It's an indicator that something is wrong. It may be just a urinary tract infection or something else that can be easily treated with antibiotics, but never assume that symptoms like that are psychological. Has he even been to a doctor? Most doctors can run basic urine screenings in their office. If the symptoms persist after antibiotic treatment, then ask for a Cat scan. I started having problems a few years ago that began with sharp, stabbing pain in my back. My doctor thought it was a back problem until a CT scan revealed it was Medullary Sponge Kidney, which can cause kidney stones, fevers, and frequent urinary infections. You don't want to wait and mess around with these symptoms or it can cause long-term damage.
