I got my first kidney stone when I was about 16. when I went to the hospital (having no idea what was wrong) they tested for almost everything then just came back that I had a small kidney stone. the pain was so different from what I have heard about kidney stones, but i let it go thinking the doctors knew. about 2 years later I was rushed to the hospital because I had lots of blood in my urine and stool. I got blood tests that came back saying I had appendicitis. I was then filled with contrast and sent for a CT scan, that came back saying i had a kidney infection. I do not understand what is going on? Could something be wrong with my kidneys or is it just kidney stones??

  • I know EXACTLY how you feel. when I was 19 all this crap starting happening. Let me tell from experience and before you get like me, I've made it to 37 but was supposed to be dead 16 yrs ago. I went to the bathroom and it looked like pure blood. I ran to the E.R. where they admitted me, then figured it must have been my gallbladder due to some gallstones. they chopped it out, went back 1 month to the day later same thing, they said OOPS must be your kidneys. After letting Dr's put me off with this test or that test, I was to late to save my kidneys. I've had my appendix, spline, gallbladder, paratyroid, tonsils some of my lower intestine part of my colon, all removed. Plus I had 3 heart attacks a triple bypass, 3 strokes and finally a kidney transplant. DON'T make the mistake I did and just let them test for this or that. If your urine has a reddish tint color it has to do with your kidneys. SEE a NEPROLOGIST now. don't wait don't go to regular Dr's go to a KIDNEY DR. They know what they are looking for. If your creatine is climbing then your kidneys are getting worse. I waited til mine was at 3.8 before going on dialysis, was on it for 16 years.
