My child also was diagnosed at 5 months with having hydronephrosis of his left kidney. He had an ultrasound, then two Mag 3's one with vasotec and one without, then he had a VCUG and another ultrsound. They found that he doesn't have kidney reflux and now think it is UPJ obstruction. We go in two weeks to have a Mag3 with lasix to determine the severity of the blockage. Since he has only mild hydronephrosis, the doctor is saying that it shouldn't be a large blockage, therefore we would only have to have him monitored. Has anyones child ever had mild hydronephrosis and had a significant blockage or needed surgery?? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated this little fellow has already been through enough doctor visits and procedures (unrelated to this problem). Thanks!Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
