Kidney Pains

I had an abortion just about two months ago. They inserted an IUD as my contraception.
Since then I have had severe kidneys pains on both my kidneys. Have had kidney pains in the past from urine infections, and not sure if I have a urine infection or if its because of my IUD.
Every time I have a urine infection I usually have different symptoms. It never hurts to pee.
I have a Doctors appt coming up and am going to explain it with them, in the mean time I have been taking nurofen zavance for the pain and it goes away almost instantly, which is good, but i am really worried that my kidneys are failing especially since they both hurt. You can live with out one kidney but two.. =(
Anyone with advice to please help me with this.

  • It seems that your kidneys have been damaged in some way by your urinary infection. The right thing you should do is have a renal function test especially creatinine level and GFR. Early detection and treatment will be good to the recovery of your disease but once it gets severe, you may come across great difficulty in treating it. Wondering what's your condition now..
