I have to start off on a tangent first to explain how I ended up where im at now. lol. Ok 2 months ago I was involved in motorcycle accident and during that time I found out that the Dr never advised me of some findings he found that he found both related to the wreck and some not. Either way I feel he had legal and moral obligation to inform of anything he found, no matter how miner. At least so I would know. Now friday i just received all my paperwork from the hospital to give to an insurance guy and I read over them of course and one thing struck me odd. leading me to be confused. I have a regular dr but should i try to get in sooner to see her from what I read. She hasnt even seen these results yet either.
Ok what i read is the folowing, so can anyone explain it or is it something not to be too worried about:
The paper stated the following from the CT scan: "subcentimeter area of decreased attentuation in the posterior aspect of the upper pole of the left kidney with focal cortical thinning. Small cortical scar which may be related to remote pyslonephritis as a small renal mass with desmoplastic reaction can not be ruled out."
That is what I read and of course Im not too eductaed to know if good, bad, or well maybe, ya know..lol But when you mention mass and a major organ well that tends to set off alarms. But its been 2 months already since thet did the CT scan and never told me while I was in the hospital and all I can think of is well 2 months has passed for something to get bigger or worse. Can anyone or a DR maybe explain what that all means?
Thank you in advance.
