i dont understand what all of this means, but here you go.
ive had this pain on my right side for almost 2 years now. ive been in the hospital once for it because it was so bad i couldnt move - it hurts sometimes in my lower back, the side, and the front
ive gone for all these tests, and every test i go for they find something on my LEFT side
i have a cyst on the left ovary.. and i just went for an MRI for a fatty/enlarged liver.. i do every once in a while have pain in my lower back on the left, but i assumed it was related to the cyst
this is what my results were for the MRI (help?)
Abdominal aorta, portal and systemic veins are grossly normal. Aorta and great vessels are widely patent. There is a steep angulation of the SMA takeoff from the aorta with significantly decreased aortomesenteric distance and apparent compression of the left renal vein and transverse portion of the duodenum crossing between SMA and aorta. Please correlate clinically for symptoms or signs of SMA syndrome or Nutcracker syndrome. A few prominent tortuous veins are also seen medially to the left renal hilum with drainage through a retro-aortic vein. The left kidney also measures slightly more prominent, about 12.5 cm in craniocaudal height compared to 11 cm on the right. Normal symmetrical renal cortical enhancement is noted.
Small aortomesenteric angle and distance with apparent compression of the left renal vein and transverse portion of duodenum crossing between SMA and aorta, some tortuous veins medially along the left renal hilum and mildly prominent left kidney size. Please correlate clinically for signs of SMA syndrome and left renal vein compression.
