I'm 21 and very active however ive had 6 operations already on my joints, I used to play field hockey and switched to competitive kickboxing, but now I'm just weight lifting.
It started years ago with recurring knee dislocations and subluxing eventually after 10 or so episodes I decided to see a surgeon basically I had to get my kneecap realigned and my MCL reconstructed.
Next was my shoulder a 2 year struggle first the diagnosis was a slap tear but the mri was wrong after a scope surgery it felt better for about 6 months I could barely keep my arm up when kickboxing again seen the surgeon to find out more subluxing issues so that got fixed.
Now my wrist I had surgery 3 weeks ago. You guessed it more subluxing my ECU was rolling over the bone. I also had a TFCC surgery 5 years before.
I thought kickboxing is the cause but I haven't done any kickboxing for 2 years long before my wrist mysteriously started stuffing up. And now my other wrist is doing exactly what my wrist that got operated on. It seems surgery fixes these things but I'm sick of it, I have months of physio for each issue and nothing works. Is there anyone out there like me? Am I just going to go through life getting artificial parts so I can function
