Yesterday I was playing baseball and I was running after the ball when I stepped in a hole and my foot turned inwards. When it did I heard and felt this crunching/grinding. It hurt so bad I wanted to throw up.I couldn't walk at all right after it happened, but a few minutes later I could. Later last night it started swelling and it hurt to turn my foot inwards, and it hurt to walk on it. Today its still really sore and it hurts to walk on it (on a scale of 1-10 when I 'm sitting or not moving my ankle the pain islike a 5/6.. When I walk it's at least an 8), and its swollen to where I have a cankle... Any ideas what I did to it?

I would recommend seeing a physiotherapist for accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment. In the mean time, check out the following links for detailed information on some of the most common injuries following a 'rolling in' ankle sprain:Lateral Ligament SprainOsteochondral lesion of the talar domeMedial Ligament Sprain Hope that helps,PhysioAdvisorwww.PhysioAdvisor.com
