On the 25/12/13 things took an unexpected turn for me.i suffered from face trauma because i was hit(punch 2-3 times) to my face when i wasn't looking and after an X-ray the doctor told me that my lower jaw was fractured, the fracture was on the left side of my jaw between my last wisdom tooth . Beside being so *****d off, i was wondering what would happen next so on the 27/12/13 the specialist explain things to me that my fracture was between moderate to severe fractures so my jaws was gonna have to be wired shut but instead of wires he used robber bands. I would have to be like this for 6 weeks while the bone would heal on it's own. My wisdom tooth was taken out though, in order for the bone to be align.
So on the third week after surgery, recovery was going fine up until i accidentally moved it out of place whilst i was asleep and had to go back to put it in place again but now I'm wondering if it would still heal properly?? so within a week I'm gonna have to go back for a check up and take an X-ray and the doctor will decide whats gonna happen next perhaps i might have to take another surgery which I'm really hoping not to take. I just pray to God that my jaw bone is healing ok.
does anyone have a similar experience as mine please do give advice how to cope with my situation
I'm also wondering how to handle situations when having the urge to sneeze or yawn because i feel like it affects the jaw!! and how about when u smile, laugh and try to talk does these actions affect the jaw as well?? please fill me in on some answers???
