my 8 month old boy had a temp of 39 degress celcius so went to the hospitsl cause he was not eating and was unsettled. He was admitted for 3 nights. He had conjuctivitis, sore throat, diarrhea ad fever. He had a little rash on his chest but the doctors told me it was a heat rash. now i'm home a week later and he has a rash on his legs, arms and butt.

  • Hi, I think that you should bring him to the doctor again and ask if it is possible that your son has got the Group A beta-hemolytic streptococcus bacteria caused by sore throat. The rashes on the skin is often a sign of immune system, so the quicker we find the treatment, the safer our health will be. I am suffering those rashes also. At first there are few erythema annulare rashes on my arms, then legs, then my trunk, not itchy at all, so i didn't care much.Afterthat I got a little high fever. Then there are a migratory joint pain. I have visited 5 doctors until now but no one has comfirmed my disease. I hope my late reply find your son in safety now. Good luck

  • Was he given any antibiotics or other medications? This could have been a separate rash from medications, and the initial rash could indeed have been a heat rash. Young children often get rashes when sick, as their immune systems go into hyperdrive. But if it continues I'd get it checked. In the meanwhile a nice warm oatmeal bath would be very helpful. Best wishesDOM
