Hi There
My one year old, has had cold like symptoms the past few days, and suddenly she has tiny dots all over her body too. We have been giving her cough medicine and paracetomol products, so I'm not sure if that could be causing the rash, as she has had it a little bit in the past with the pain medicine. But because this seems to have spread overnight all over her body, I'm not sure if it could be more serious. She doesn't want to sleep, but she is'nt unhappy when she is with us. Any advice would be welcome. I can only take her to the doctor tomorrow, and need to know if it might be more serious.
First time mom.

  • Try going to medline.com and then going to the signs and symptoms center. This has helped me out with my kids at times (I have 3). Good luck!

  • When my daughter was 18 months she had little red dots or a rash like and a very high fever. she got Roseola from the baby I was babysitting. she woke up with a 106 degree temperature, and I hurried and put her in a warm tub.not cold but warm and brought her fever down to 102 then 98. the next day we saw the doctor and he said she was fine and had a touch of Roseola, I'm not quite sure about the spelling, but be watching for a fever and use childrens motrin to keep the fever down for 8 hours , so you dont wake up in the middle of the night and find your child roasting.Hope that helps, in the future if not now.May the Lord be with you and yours.
