Since June of 2006, I was diagnosed with Lymphedema. What doesn't make sense is I have read on two different sites. That the cause of it; is either from a parasite or from a stroke.
My question is this if anyone can help me. Is in 1981 or 82 (brain fog) I had a mini stroke. No after effects that I can remember happening. But, three years later my life started going downhill but also at that time I was bitten by a tick. Gotten Lyme Disease and Babesisa an possible Bartonnela. (sorry about the spelling). So, my question is this could these be the reason why I got the lymphedema?

As for the lymphedema I think the rules stink. If you don't have open sores on your body. Then the insurance companies don't pay for your pump and they might still fight you on it. They won't pay for your stockings unless you have open sores on your body. It makes you want to rip your legs apart just to get them to give you want you need to contain the illness. But, they will pay for the treatments and the hospitalization.
The treatment centers say they want you to get a night garment. Can someone tell me how you are suppose to pay for these if you are poverty level of 5,000.00 a year. These night garments thigh high custom made without insurance are over 1,000.00 a piece.
