Hi there. I had mono over the holiday season. I was up and at-um again in mid-January.
I was mis-diagnosed at first as having strep throat, so after I took the meds I broke out in a full-body rash. Now, it was insane. My entire body was covered in a patchy-red rash. All I could do was suffer through it. I had some cream to put on it and tried an anti-allergen, but of course nothing helped and I had to wait for the antibiotics to just leave my system.
The rash took about 14 days to clear up completely.
However, I've noticed my skin has some new sensitivities. When I wear different fabrics, if I twist or roll, the cloth rubs my skin and it feels like major carpet burn. It's almost like I have a sunburn, only there is nothing visible on my skin's surface. Sometimes it's quite awkward trying to get to sleep at night, as if I roll a certain way the material just burns me and I can't get comfy.
Any idea of what I should do? I feel like if I see a doctor they'll laugh it off, as there is no rash at all on me. Anyone else go through something like this?
