Seeing Infectious disease physician for nosiocomal enterobacter and strep sanguis infx following surgery. Verified by path report.
Previous history 4th stage breast cancer. Treated with neo adjunctivr chemo, bilateral mx and 6 weeks of radiation. Just had issue with skin infx under right mastectomy site. Dr cleaned out chest wall in surgery center and placed fat graft. Skin removed showed enterobacter and strep sanguis. Referral immediately to infectious disease doctor who is trying rifampin, cipro, and amoxicillin for 2 weeks. Of no better will have PICC line and twice daily infusions.
Curious how successful oral cocktail is in treating infection.
