My mom was hospitalized last year with severe neck pain, foot pain and high fever. The Dr.s admistered antibiotics and pain medication. They conducted all tests imagined;west nile, spinal meningitis, blood cultures, numerous blood test, etc. And they came up with no explantion. She was just hospitalized again and this time it was even more frightening. My mother came home with a fever and chills and by that evening her blood pressure bottomed dropped to 88 over 55 and within an hour she seemed to begin to go into shock which was terrifying. She vomited and by the time the ambulance arrived her blood pressue had gone up some. This time after being admitted to the hospital she developed back pain, pelvic pain, low blood pressure, low heart rate, chest tenderness, and some chest congestion. This time they mentioned pneumacoccal infection and also strep. But that was it.After giving her antibiotics and her fever was gone they sent her home with no other explanation. So we are still at a loss we feel. She is still in some pain and her blood pressure isn't wonderful. We are trying to get her in to see an infectious disease specialist and a heart specialist.I can't find any condition with these same symtoms??If anyone has any similiar symtoms or knows of anyone with these please add response.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
