ON MONDAY, I DISCOVERED MY 3 YR OLD HAS HEAD LICE. I HAVE TAKEN EVERY PRECATION, DONE ALL THE TREATMENTS, WASHED AND SCRUBBED THE ENTIRE HOUSE, EVRYTHING SHORT OF BECOMING OCD ABOUT THIS ENTIRE FIASCO. I AM STILL DOING THE THE MAYO/OLIVEOIL/VINEGAR TREATMENTS DAILY, AND SHE IS NOW NIT /BUG FREE:D . MY QUESTION IS ..... WHEN IS IT OKAY FOR HER TO GO BACK IN PUBLIC? sHE HAS ONLY BEEN AROUND HER FATHER AND I, I DON'T WANT TO RISK HER INFECCTING ANYONE ELSE...BUT SHE REALLY NEEDS TO GET OUT OF THE HOUSE. ANY ADVICE?

  • I'm 13 and i used to get them at primary school all the time!! She can go back in public any time just keep checking her head nightly to make sure there not back and if you want to be really sure she doesn't get them again there is a conditionar at boots with tea tree which prevents the lice from going on to the hair because they hate the smell. By the way you should change your headlice treatment if you are using it alot because the lice could become amune to it. When she gets to primary she will get them a lot more so this is good practice.
