I was diagnosed with Mono almost 2 months ago. I have had enlargement/inflammation of both my liver and spleen....however, the pain in my liver went away within about a month; all that was left was tenderness on the right side of my body. About 3 days ago, I ran into a doorknob going into the bathroom to get some laundry. It hit me directly below and to the right of my sternum, at the edge of my ribcage. It hurt for a few minutes, and left a small red mark, which went away shortly. I didn't think much of it and went on with doing my laundry. However, a couple hours after I did that, I started experiencing pain all over from the right edge of my left ribcage around to my right side, and have had swelling and pain over my liver that radiates to my back. I have not had any other symptoms except for pain, but it keeps me up at night most nights, and it's hard to bend and lift stuff...hard to tell if it's gotten better, except for the fact that I can bend over a little easier because my left ribcage doesn't hurt so badly anymore...the day after the trauma I felt like my ribcage was jabbing into my liver - but it aches more now on my right side. The strange thing is, there is no visible bruising on the outside of my abdomen whatsoever from this trauma. I am just wondering, what could have happened?Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
