I was recently in a situation where I was spit in the face by a seemingly mentally ill homeless man about 4 days ago. Some saliva may have gotten in my mouth. I have been feverishly researching diseases that can be spread this way and have come across quite a few. HIV is pretty much ruled out, but I am still a little anxious. Other diseases like Hepatitis B and bacterial meningitis have come up as well. How worried should I be about contracting any of these conditions? Should I get tested? If so, how long should I wait?
I know this is a peculiar question, but any advice would be appreciated.
