Could my long term staph infection have caused kidney damage?

From about the age of 11 to 15 I had a terrible staph infection that effected the hair folicles on my legs. It was mis-diagnosed by two doctors, two doctors told me they didn't have a clue, and one finally correctly diagnosed me. Once it was correctly diagnosed I started on antibiotics and used bactriban (sp?) skin cream. I had a few subsequent out breaks, but with in a year I would only very rarely get a boil or two. About two years after I first had symptoms I began to get very tired. I would also have abdominal pain at times but my thyroid is okay and I'm not anemic. I have had bouts with kidney stones. It is about 10 years later and I still have extremely low energy and I'm tired of it! I've finally done some research and I'm wondering if this long term staph infection maybe damaged my kidney's or adrenal glands. I feel like when I go to the doctor and tell them I'm really tired and just feel really yucky they kind of think I'm a hypochondriac or a whinner so for a long time I stopped talking about it to doctors. I just recently started bugging my doctor about it again but he seems not to really be that interested. Any thoughts?

  • please dont suffer with staph ever again. Try grapefruitseed extract. It kills bacteria.Acidophilis, is nessesary after taking antibiotics. it replaces the good intestinal flora. And take marshmello tea, dandelion , and cranberry for your kidneys.May the Lord be with you, always
