Hello !

My name is Mircea(32,Bucharest).

My condition is 'choking caused by a staphylococcus albus'. Since I wanted to describe my symptoms best ,I set this long name to it.What happened is that in 2001 I took this bacteria from the air (or so I suspect) and it glued onto my throat or my esophagus or whatever-I cannot state with precision the spot,my knowledge of anatomy being just about average-and caused me to choke constantly,in addition to leaving a horrible taste in my mouth whenever I would try to swallow food and a disgusting smell whenever I would breathe. This sudden 'foreign body' that my organism tried to reject,to spit out, but couldn't, has made me eat in a very particular manner-I spit out pieces of chewed food, and feel like vomiting when at it. Therefore I lost some 10 to 15 kilograms very quickly. I went to doctors. The first diagnosis was 'acute rhynofaringitis'.However I felt this unease at swallowing as coming from much deeper inside than just the upper throat, even from the solar plexus. They took samples from inside my nose and throat and it emerged that I had Staphylococcus Albus. Some doctor prescribed me Cyprofloxacin,an antibiotic, and I took that for 10 days but instead of dying out the staphylococcus became more resistant and more annoying.
My condition now has got even more serious.
I hope described my symptoms well so that any chance readers who are also doctors can possibly picture them.
Has anyone else been through the same ordeal or at least similar conditions?
Any piece of advice would be welcome, also any story about staphylococcal infection or choking .

Thank you and good health to everyone,

Mircea

  • sounds like you need a stronger antibiotic, or one specifically designed to kill the staph germ that's causing all your trouble. Ask your doc to prescribe something that's big guns like vanco.

Ask your doc to prescribe something that's big guns like vanco.Thank you guys who replied to my message.Bluepill - your case seems very very serious...this bacteria is just hugely resistant- its like concrete in front of any antibiotics...i wouldnt know what to recommend to you myself...hope maybe you find some natural treatment to it such as plants or something- which is just what i am am looking for now as a last resort. The other guy UNREGISTERED-thank you, but no- after the failed attempt with cyprofloxacine which worsened my situation to the extent that i can now barely eat, i am very cautious about pills and their side-effects...i am looking for a plants treatment like i said, maybe that will work.Faint hope but just maybe, you know.Thank you anyway for your answer, i appreciate it a lot.Hope you stay in good health.Bye folks-take care

  • Hey Zombie...I know what its like to have constant choking and no relief. My doctors cant figure out why my throat and esophagus have been so greatly affected. I dont know how much help this will be, but try swallowing straight honey. It has an antibiotic property. Please, post and let us know how you are doing. ForgottenSoul

Numerous tests and no answers except well it is not this. Her lymph notes are swollen, despite the penicillin shot they gave her. She now has a low iron count which was not present the first time they drew blood. She lost 2 pounds in less than a week. Please email me if you can repowoman75@yahoo.comThanks Very concerned mom

  • I would consider probiotics, such as activia yogurt. Studies have shown that with 2 months of probiotic treatment PRIOR to ulcer treatment of antibiotics, the success rate of the antibiotics increased to over 90%. This shows me that the yogurt helps to heal and strengthen the gastrointestinal and immune system prior to striking with the antibiotics, kind of like softening up the enemy. What about DGL (deglycerized licorice)? Even though they might not consider other bacteria, I would consider any treatment that attacks HELICO BACTER PYLORI (the ulcer bacteria, which also is implicated in heart disease and demetia). Make sure it has ACTIVE CULTURES. My husband is helped tremendously with this Danactive and Activia. Also, I would consider any kind of parasites, be sure they are removed. Also, what about a Hulga Clark device? I have talked to people who had chronic Lyme disease, tried multi-antibiotics, and using this device was the only thing that gave them hope. They considered their recovery in the 80% area, which was much better than the traditional treatments. They were finally able to go back to at least part time work. I sincerely hope this helps! (By the way, be sure to check with your doctor, consider all the medicines, vitamins and herbs you may be consuming...I am not a doctor and am only offering personal information that has helped me or others.) Also, cucumin (tumeric extract may help, but it also has anti-inflammatory properties, so use very cautiously, very low dose at the beginning, titrate up slowly). I would also check out Dr. Slagle's book about depression. Although you may not be depressed, her site and book address metabolism, immune functioning, health in general. I have cut my medicine by 1/3-1/2 by using the correct vitamins AT THE CORRECT TIME! This way, my body had the correct hormones and chemicals so the medicines could work! The vitamins that have helped me the most have been Pure Encapsulations! When I started using bioactive vitamins (ex: B6, the bioactive form in a powdered capsule), then I began getting well. Blessings to all! Also, consider imaging the bad bugs as becoming completely impotent and disappearing. Visualize what you want to happen. Never give up.

  • Staphylococcus albus is normaly a member of the skin flora and because of this it is very resistant to antibiotics as someone has already pointed out. Here is an article that contrasts the effects of honey and and some antibiotics on Staph. albus and Staph. aureus. I hope this helps and you get better soon.www.medbc.com/meditline/articles/vol_14/num_1/7/text/vol14n1p7.asp - 23k -

  • When my daughter was 2 weeks old I recieved a handbook in the mail that said "read this or die". It took me 1 1/2 years to get to it and when I finally did, it said grapefruit seed extract would be the answer to the staph and different diseases that included bacteria that are now going around and some are out of hand. try it. we did. I believe it has rescued us from a number of misdiagnosed situations including a disease that my moms love birds were carrying (some kind of infectious disease).
