my son is 17 and was just diagnosed with bornholm disease. never heard of it before. Apparently it is contagious. Should I notify his school? He is in extreme pain. How long will he be in pain? Have only given him tylenol for pain. Is there any other more effective meds I can give him?:(

  • Hi,I was looking up symptoms i have and narrowed it all down to Bornholm. You said your son has it and i was wondering what symptoms he has had.I stated having a pain in my right lung when i breath in deep and sometimes when breath out deep...i have had this for about 3 weeks now and starting to get concerned. The pain is not THAT bad though its bearable...was your sons real bad at first and how long did it take for him to go to the doctor???What medication did they give him??Thank You.Kallie
