Hi, i Have a 2 month old son. He has had respiratory problems since he was born. I recently took him to the hospital because he had mysteriously been bruising all over his body. At the hospital they found he had several fractures but all at different stages. im concerned about what happened to him. Is there any known diseases that can cause all these things without the child being actually injured ?

  • Hello, I wanted to see if you ever got an answer for your question about your son. This sounds a lot like my son who has hypophosphatasia (HPP). Did your son possibly lose baby teeth prematurely? Or has he had his alkaline phosphatase levels measured? (can be found during a routine blood test). To find out more information about HPP you can visit www.SoftBones.org - we also have a patient community on Facebook.
