  • I have not heard of that disease, but I am in the same boat. My 16 mo old weighs 16 lbs 13 oz. At 9 mo she weighed 17 lbs 3 oz. She eats well and does not have diarrhea or vomiting. Her vertical growth has stopped as well. Anybody else have similar story?

  • hi Iam lillies mommy and she is 5 1/2 months old and we were told she was ftt also . we have been to the hospital two times in march for three weeks! lillie was 6.14 oz at birth and was full term she weighs 9.8 oz now. she was losing weight weekly until the doctor at the hospital sent her home on a feeding tube! lillie is on the feeding tube for 12 hours during the night and eats during the day from her bottle ,lillie is able to eat from her bottle like any baby does. she has stopped losing thank God! she is going in weekly to her regular ped for weight checks to make sure she is not losing. she has been gaining 1 oz a week ! the doctors are doing lots of test on her she has been tested for fat malsorption- cystic fibrosis-malsorption for vitimans a,e,k,c -thyriod-prader willi -they did an upper Gi on her . they have only ruled out that she does not have a malsorption problem ! lillie is also going to have a M.R.I this month to see if it is a brain activity thing. lillie is also going to see a dermatoligist for some interesting marks on her body that have spread since she was 2 or 3 days old.Does anybody know of any ideas to bring to the doctors for possible testing or does this sound familure to any one?? we just dont know why our baby girl is having such a tuff time.

  • Please excuse my using this post to reply, but I can't find any thread to contact admin nor moderators with on this forum. I'm wondering if this might be an active, yet part-time forum, for while I see recent posts apparently from yesterday, there have not been any new posts for today, although I posted my story at around 14:00 WAST, and verified it after registration. Then there has also been another member join today.Yet no new posts. Are you lacking moderators, or are there particular hours when we should appropriate our illnesses? I sincerely hope that the forum is not administrated by the Western Australian public health sector. When do you open? It's about bed-time for Ross River Virus victims in WA now, 19:15 on Friday. I will have a very hard time sleeping tonight, for wondering whether there is anything out there here...Good Luck! Thanks.Good night.:)________________________________________________Good golly! This reply went straight through to publication sans mod! Please accept that I might have been posting my first reply on some other more heavily moderated thread that I am yet to understand. I'm mainly concerned with brain damage, asthma, and Ross River Virus, the latter being how I found this forum. I hope to be able to work out how to write a post on RRV without moderator delays tomorrow.I promise to write politely. Thank you. Good night again all.Sean.
