So here is my question.. my sister is 22yrs. old. She was classified as a "blue baby" but 22yrs ago when she was born she wasn't just blue she was BLACK... my mom and dad said that she was sooooo black they were in shock for quite some time. Quite a while after she was born her color returned, but no tests were ever done to determine if there was an underlying cause. Everything that I look up on blue baby points to a heart defect of some kind. I can't seem to find any information on weather or not a "blue baby" can simply be from poor circulation and nothing else? I know some babies are born a little blue and their color returns and it isn't a big deal, but she wasn't a little blue and it wasn't for a short while. My parents recall that it took a long time for her color to return. The reason I am inquiring about all of this is bc she has a number of health problems, some of them are new, and from what I've read a great deal of her symptoms could be due to a heart defect that has gone undiagnosed. But I am no dr so I am looking for any imput anyone might have. Thank you so much.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
