I have a baby who had just turned one about a week ago. And for the past few nights she's been getting up in the middle of the night screaming and then she vomits alot, and then she's fine again. This happens at least 2-3 times a night. She is not fevered and doesn't act sick during the day. I have no idea what's going on with her and I'm worried that something could be wrong. The pediatrician doesn't seem to think anything is wrong but it's not normal for a baby to be throwing up like this without any other symptoms amd we're both losing sleep over this. Please help!

  • HEY! i just saw an episode of mystery diagnosis today about a litte girl with the EXACT symptoms you're daughter has. she has epilepsy. you should bring your child to a pediatric neurologist and find out if that could be the problem with your little one also. if you're interested in watching that episode of mystery diagnoses it was season 5 episode 2: the girl who gagged. you can buy the episode on itunes i think. good luck.

  • How much is she throwing up? is it a little or alot?Sometimes when they are teething there is an increase in saliva, and this can cause irritation especially when they are laying down. This could possibly cause them to throw up, but it wouldn't be a lot... What foods is she eating for dinner? How are her stools?DOM

  • My daughter is now 18 months and she has been doing this vomiting thing since she was born....I have asked the drs time and time again and they switched her to 5 different formulas and as she got older they tested her for acid reflux and found nothing...we have just been dealing with it and dont know where else to turn then about 5 months ago we moved and my oldest whom is 2 started picking at her skin turning it into open wounds. We try to be the best parents and do everything we can for them. I believe the 2 year old started the picking simply bc we moved and it was a anxioty thing we still have no idea whats wrong with my youngest....she does it just about 2-3 times a week....they both have a drs appt on wed. I am going to ask about the epalespy thing now.....thanks

WHile she has been doing this her hasn't eaten very much during the day. I just don't know what is going on.did you ever find out what was going on with your little girl? my little on is 20 months old now. She woke up on Christmas morning sick..throwing up all day and night. she was okay the next day..threw up that night. and then didn't throw up any more until that Wednesday. That was the end of it until this past Wednesday night. I noticed the next morning she had thrown up, but she was fine all day Thursday. Thursday night she threw up..she was fine Friday, just not much of an appetite. She didn't throw up Friday night but did last night again after acting fine all day but just not eating much. It is now Sunday morning and she is eating fine again and playing but I fear she will start doing it again. Do you think it's possible she is sick again already?! HELP ME!
