Hello. I have had hyper immune problems my whole life and am currently on prednisone, previously on Immuran. I am considering taking cyclosporine and possible having a pregnancy. Anyone with experience with this?

  • I have been on Immunosupressant meds. for about 30 years. First, Immuran/predinsone. Now Prednisone, cyclosporine an cellcept. Though I cannot vouch for "pregnancy", being male :-)I can say that I find the side effects of cyclo et.al. more pronounced (skin problems, small cancers etc...) I can not attribute this directly to the new medication regime since it may also simply be a function of the long term build-up of immunosupressants.I think I'd ask about the increased side effects (ie: more body hair ... not a real problem for males) of cyclo. Also if cyclo is a stronger immun. drug.Mark
