The back half of my tongue is yellow, thick, and "furry". What could it be and how can I get to go away?

  • Are you male or female? If female do you have any problems with yeast infections? Menstrual problems? Do you have any urination problems, history of UTI's etc? Do you have any digestion problems - diarrhea or constipation? Do you have asthma or bronchitis? A thick yellow tongue at the root is due to damp heat in the lower regions of the body (called lower jiao in Chinese medicine). If you aren't showing any of the above symptoms yet, you eventually probably will. It also corresponds to Candida overload, but not always. Any more information you can provide will help.Best wishes.DOM

  • Please do not listen to anything Shula or Acuann tell you. My sister just passed away because Shula and Acuann told her that her doctor was wrong and she did not have a serious condition. Acuann even told her to get acupuncture to get healed. These people are going to be investigated for practicing medicine without a license. Shula and Acuann are specifically wanted in connection with my sisters homocide. Thats right homocide. If she would have listened to her doctor instead of these internet quacks she would still be here today. Rest assured I will do everything in my power to put these two behind bars and shut this website down for good.

  • I am very worried.. I have all those symptoms: recurrent UTIs, monthly yeast infections after my period, GERD.. it's been going on for about a year now and my doctors cannot figure out what it is. Lately, my tongue turned yellow. WHat is going on??

  • Your docs aren't going to figure this out for you, because they're not trained in this way. You need to find an Oriental Medical practitioner, who will most likely diagnose you with damp heat accumulation, and offer herbs to get you back in balance. A naturopath would be very helpful as well. You must look at your diet, and research candida. A yellow coated tongue, that looks kind of "greasy", is a result of damp/heat and is often diet related. Cut out ALL sugars, processed foods, and dairy products. Often diet is not enough to correct the imbalance, and a cleanse is in order. Google candida and cleanse and see what you find. Threelac is one of the best ones out there, but there are others. There is a saliva test you can do to show if you have candida overload - google it. Western allopathic medicine just doesn't offer much help with this - Western antifungal meds are very toxic, and often don't work. Candida is very tenacious and hard to get under control. It takes time, but once you get it under control, I guarantee you will be feeling soo much better! Best wishesDOM

  • thank you so much Dom.. I did run across Candida last night in my rampant google search.. but this confirmed it and i am so glad i now know what is going on in my body..i believe it is all stress-related as my symptoms have worsened as my stress load increased. also, after a psychotherapeutic session with my friend, ive felt my symptoms disappear a bit. Thanks again!

The extent of my knowledge is from personal experience and a wee bit of Google sprinkled on it. Todays watch word is Tumeric, pronounced tumeric. I was rescued from certain death, self inflickted, alcohol, drugs, the works. I owe my rescuer my life, so this is what I did, in exchange for a brand new life, I gave him mine. His name? The Lord ***********t, I love him, he loves me. Now tumeric is an herb used in cooking, it's mixed into another, to make a spice. The spice? curry, yes, curry, my body was riddled with I think, everything knowned to man. Here are the directions, but first, i would like to post a disclaimer. Before taking or doing anything, like lifting weights, etc. or taking tumeric. Dose varies, 1/4 teaspoon in a glass of , well, any kind of juice, once a day. Do this for 30 days and do It faithfully, otherwise your just spinning your wheels. After words, go back to your Dr. and let "him" be the one to say, supercalifragicexpealidoshis, "what" have you done, My goodness you look fantastic. I know this is what he/she will say, because my doctor, the girls in his office, other patients, I even have my neighbors say so. Well, that's It, my tip for the day, after 30 days post back to me and tell me how good you feel. G~day

  • Acuann, which would be better? taking Threelac or going to an oriental herbalist?
elleyess 2 Replies Flag this Response
  • I would try to find a Chinese herbalist - make sure they are NCCAOM certified in Chinese Herbology, otherwise I wouldn't waste the money on someone who just "dapples" in Chinese herbs. If you cannot find one in your area, then do try the Threelac, it has a money back guarantee if it doesn't improve your symptoms, you just return it - make sure you find a website that gives you this - it's been awhile since I've ordered it online (I usually order by the case from Global Health Trax and pay a membership fee, but you don't have to). Concerning Threelac - go slowly with this, only take one packet a day at first, and work your way up to three packets a day. I first made the mistake of taking 3, and got what is called a cleansing crisis (temporary worsening of symptoms)...if you go slowly this shouldn't happen. Hope this helps!DOM

  • Acuann, hi it's pester puss againhttp://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u298/hogndog/av-willywonka5050.gif Can you tell me, have they come up with a way for members to send p.m.s? I'm wondering if maybe i sent a message to them, well maybe. Won't know unless I ask, of course a stipulation of this would be like a permission slip, so to speak. I'm going to check into it. Have a great evening* :D

Suffer from NSU's a lot and have a delicate urinary tract (nicest way of putting it) I'm early twenties and have had a yellow tongue longer than I have had any NSU. It seems to illuminate in photos and I always get jibed for having a yellow tongue - usually along the lines of, "why don\t you brush your teeth..." stupid I know - but is there anything I can do to help this...?cheers

  • Acuann: I dont have any of the symptoms you mentioned, but the yellow tongue is still there... sometimes the size of the 'stain' is small, other times it looks like the whole tongue is yellow.... I showed it to my mom and said I usually see it when I eat stuff with refined wheat like bread, cookies, cake... what´s even weirder is that since I showed my yellow tongue to my mom, she´s now getting it too! I mean she can´t remember if it turned out just like that before :SWe´re really confused cause we've asked doctors and they don't know what to say, so if you can help us we´d be really thankful

Use as per instructions: 1/4 teaspoon in a glassof juice every day, mind you you must do this in orderfor it to work, its an herb used in India to cleanse theimmune system. Ask any Naturalist, I haven't had evena cold in over 3 years a Podiatrist turned me on to it..Now go get well.Continue to brush your tongue each time you brush. :D

G~dayits spelt turmeric, and pronounced turmeric, and curry isnt a spice, its a way of preparing and serving food. you can curry pretty much anything. in usa curry powder is just called "curry" because americans just dont get anything thats too complicated. but curry powder is a mix of herbs and spices common to cooking in inda and the surrounding countries. pls dont spread misinformation when you can just check these things on google in a matter of seconds. tard. haha.
