*Balance problems
*Headaches (migraines & *icepick
*Extreme fatigue
*8 month flare up of asthma
*Inability to regulate body
Temperature (intolerance to
Cold and easily overheated
*The increasing fatigue and
Other symptoms have
Contributed to an almost
100 lb weight gain over
Last 5 years while I've
Continued to eat healthy
*Muscle spasms..worse when body Is at rest
*Itchy ears that feel full and Sometimes ring
*Urine that is dark/cloudy and
Has a bad odor regardless
Of how hydrated I am
*Excessive sweat that has an
Ammonia odor

***I am a 34 y/o female. I have been diagnosed of the following; hypothyroid-tx synthroid, asthma-tx symbicort/proventil/singulair
Endometriosis-tx laparoscopy and depo provera. Spinal stenosis-tx spinal fusion at c4-5 and c6-7, tens machine.

I'm really hoping that someone reading this will recognize my symptoms and be able to steer me in the right direction. I live in the detroit metro area if anyone can recommend a good dr. I've found that because my symptoms don't fit into a nice little package they don't want to take me on.

Tests with abnormal results:

*Brain MRI- foci of white matter changes in both frontal lobes

*CRP .8 mg/dl

*Babinski reflex

*Abnormal lower body evoked potentials

*C3 complement 206 mg/dl

*ANA positive titer 1:640 homogenous

B12 tests have been normal
Kidneys are good/heart is good
Cholesterol is good/no diabetes
Thanks in advance for any help

  • Is your fatigue worst after you've exerted yourself or postexertional eg worst the next day after you excert yourself? If so.. possibly your issue is chronic fatigue immunity dysfunction syndrome (CFIDS) http://wwcoco.com/cfids/bernesx.html Has a good list of symptoms based on various studies done I have had *Babinski reflex in one foot one time.. due to CFIDS. (it can screw up reflexes... ive also at times got hyper-reflexia). At times I have got an ammonia smell (mine is only very occassional).. i think its something to do with my CFIDS. (ive got an extreme case so get over 80 symptoms with it). endometriosis and hypothyriodism can go hand in hard with CFIDS. With CFIDS there is a number of abnormalities which may show up on tests (all non specific findings thou so the findings can also be found in other conditions too). The CFIDS MRI finding is "elevated numbers of punctuate lesions, particularly in the frontal lobes and subcortical areas"as im no doctor i dont know if that is exactly the same as your MRI test result.. i suggest to find out if it is or not. Ones with CFIDS may get abnormal ANA results.. (unfortunately the CFIDS referance book im getting this info from right now thou dont tell me exactly what this ANA finding is other than making that statement). There is a list of test abnormalities found in CFIDS or ME/CFS on page 18 of Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome A clincial Case Definition and Guidelines for Medical Practitioners An Overview of the Canadian Consensus Document by Bruce Carruthers and Marjorie I. van de Sande. (that is where i got the ANA and the MRI finding in CFIDS info from). To find out more about this illness.. maybe try the Im not crazy CFS forums. (im not sure if you do have CFIDS or not.. but it may be a possibility). Take care.. if you have CFIDS with your hypothyriod issue.. the CFIDS subgroup who get both those issues, study has shown they have a quite high chance of getting thyriod cancer.

  • I was thinking further about your ear issue. TMJ disorder is a co-morbid condition at times of CFIDS. You may want to consider if you have this issue causing the ear symptom and possibly some others or not http://www.medicinenet.com/temporomandibular_joint__disorder/page2.htm

I have also found a good site on h pylori symptoms and it really clears my mind to differ between h pylori pain and normal stomach ache.
